Marlene joined Wilson & Wilson Estate Planning & Elder Law LLC in February of 2023, as a Legal Assistant, as well as being charged with Marketing for our Deerfield office. She worked for several years as the Directory of Marketing and office manager for a Global Trade law firm in Chicago. Prior to that, she worked in marketing for a media company in Deerfield before they were acquired and closed that office. In 2003 Marlene founded a successful boutique web development and design firm focusing on web accessibility that she ran for nearly 15 years. She was one of the first 75 people in the country to implement The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for the Internet.
Marlene attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago, majoring in Graphic Design, Roosevelt University, and Northwestern for computer science, and continues on a learning path yearly. She is proud of her daughter, who graduated magna cum laude with a BFA in acting. They spend as much time as possible together – mostly in the city. Marlene loves working in the pottery studio when she can and curating art on social media. She lives in Glenview with her 2 kitties, Maia and Una, the mother and daughter she adopted from Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter 6 years ago. Her other loves are live music (indie rock, Avant guard jazz and classical) and science, and she is an avid reader.

- Cooked and served meals with her daughter at the PADS shelter in Waukegan once a month for 10 years
